Rural Skills Training
Rural Skills is the leading provider of professional rural training courses in Gloucestershire, delivering a wide range of courses, including; Forestry, Pesticide Application, Vehicle Maintenance and Health & Safety. All our courses are certified from the University, or where applicable, from accredited awarding bodies such as NPTC, LANTRA AWARDS and BASIS. Training takes place at the Rural Innovation Centre (previously called the Rural Skills Centre) at Manor Farm, Harnhill.
Whether you are a newcomer or professional, we offer a wide range of practical courses, many of which can lead to qualifications and accreditation.
Funding for Training
The University received a grant from The Prince’s Countryside Fund to support the Centre in delivering vocational short courses, aimed at introducing local young people, especially those who are not in education, employment or training (NEETs) to agricultural and rural skills.
