We are very grateful to all our friends and supporters, particularly those who have made a gift to the Cirencester Fund to enhance the RAU.
In 2014, the Cirencester Fund campaign raised over £60,000 in gifts and pledges, making this our most successful year to date. This fund is all about the students; what we raise each year we spend out imeediately, providing real-time benefit to those with us right now.
This year, your gifts have been spent on a broad range of projects:
- The introduction of 'Lecture Capture' technology: a new teaching tool which will allow us to simultaneously record lecturers and their presentations so students can focus on the meaning of the lecture rather than note-taking. It is also very useful for those with hearing or learning difficulties.
- Enhancing our social learning space in the Atrium by adding new seating and IT facilities.
- Supporting students through cases of unforeseen hardship.
- Establishing the Study Support Fund to ensure that students don't have to limit their field research or dissertation because they can't pay for additional study costs
This year for the first time we have produced a donor report for the Cirencester Fund, including a list of all those who gave in 2013-14. You can view the full donor report and list of donors here.
