Overview

This course is suitable for those working in forestry, agriculture, horticulture or greenkeeping. It is based around the National Proficiency Test Council PA1A (Foundation) Test and is designed to help people to successfully prepare for their tests. Please note that it is compulsory that candidates hold their PA1A (0216-49) certificate in the Safe Use of Pesticides before taking other Pesticide (PA Awards) such as PA2A, PA4 or PA6.

Course Prerequisites

Participants must have a good standard of written English to be able to read, understand and interpret regulations and information on pesticide labels. This is all in compliance with regulations and directives from the Health & Safety Executive.

    We require a digital photograph of each candidate (passport style taken on a plain background of your head and shoulders), this is purely for the NPTC/City & Guilds registration.

    PLEASE NOTE:- If you do not supply us with a photograph you will not be able to sit the assessment.

    Please bring with you photographic identification for example, driving licence or passport, this is needed to be able to undertake the NPTC Assessment.

    Please note: the price includes NPTC registration and test fee. It does not include the re-assessment fee if you fail your assessment.

    Course Assessment Method

    NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council) Certificate of Competence under the Pesticide Regulations Assessment. Please note that you will be assessed for this qualification on the same day as your training. The assessment will last approximately 1 hour. If you unfortunately fail your assessment a re-assessment can be arranged at an additional cost, please contact the centre for further details.
