OverviewThis course provides training for the Hand Held Pesticide Applicator test leading to the certificate of competence under the Pesticide Regulations if required. Subjects covered include: sprayer preparation, safety, calibration, operation, sprayer decontamination, maintenance and storage.
PrerequisitesPesticide Application PA1 - Safe Use of Pesticides (0216 - 49).
- Sprayer preparation
- Nozzle selection
- Sprayer decontamination
- Maintenance and storage of the sprayer
- Legislation and regulations
- Pen and paper
- Lunch and Refreshments (if required).
- Suitable wellington boots, coverall and gloves as you will be required to wear them for the course.
You may also bring your own knapsack sprayer (as long as it is not contaminated), which can be used for the calibration exercise.
