The range of production systems adopted and commercially practised on nearby farms, and local farm businesses, provide an invaluable insight into the current realities of commercial farming. You'll also have the opportunity to put your learning into practice during a work-based placement year.

Course overview

Bridge the gap between the laboratory, the field, the commercial market and the farm. Gain unparalleled access to on-farm/applied product development with Farm491 and benefit from research trials at nearby farms. No wonder our graduates have gone on to work for high-profile organisations such as Procam Agriculture, Velcourt, Keenan Systems and Dalcour Maclaren.

Work placement

In the second year, you will apply and develop your expertise during a 15-week work placement. In the third year, you will complete a 12 month period in the workplace. Not only could you find yourself working for prestigious companies in the UK or across the world, you will develop confidence and industry contacts for when you graduate.
