Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship

These scholarships are for September 2021 entry only and are for students wishing to study a postgraduate course at the RAU.

There are three types of award, each for a £500 discount off postgraduate fees. Only one award may be applied for. The award categories are as follows:

RAU 2021 graduate

  • Up to 20 awards of a £500 postgraduate fee discount, in addition to the 20% alumni discount. Awarded to the first 20 applicants who apply for the award and subsequently fully register on a RAU postgraduate programme starting in September 2021
  • You must have achieved a 2:1 or 1st class degree from your undergraduate programme
  • This is available to RAU students studying at Capel Manor College
  • Those studying on a part-time basis will be awarded a pro rata percentage of the £500 divided between the numbers of years of study

2021 graduate from a partner institution

  • Up to 20 awards of a £500 postgraduate fee discount. Awarded to the first 20 applicants who apply for the award and subsequently fully register on a RAU postgraduate programme starting in September 2021
  • This award is offered to graduates from the following institutions: 
    • Askham Bryan College
    • Bishop Burton College
    • Capel Manor College (where a different course to the RAU franchise programmes has been studied)
    • East Durham College
    • Kingston Maurward College
    • Plumpton College
  • You must have achieved a 2:1 or 1st class degree from your undergraduate programme
  • Those studying on a part-time basis will be awarded a pro rata percentage of the £500 divided between the numbers of years of study

Attendees at an RAU postgraduate event (e.g. on-campus open day, online open day, postgraduate course webinar)

  • Up to 20 awards of a £500 postgraduate fee discount. Awarded to the first 20 applicants who apply for the award and subsequently fully register on a RAU postgraduate programme starting in September 2021
  • You must have achieved a 2:1 or 1st class degree from an undergraduate programme
  • Those studying on a part-time basis will be awarded a pro rata percentage of the £500 divided between the numbers of years of study

How to apply

Please email [email protected] stating which one of the three categories of award you are applying for:

  •  RAU 2021 graduate or
  •  2021 graduate from a partner institution or 
  •  Attendee at an RAU postgraduate event

Whichever category you apply for, please confirm that you have met the criteria, by confirming College attended, degree awarded and relevant dates as appropriate.

This scholarship is now closed to applications.

How will I know if my application has been successful?

All applicants will be informed in writing of the outcome, whether successful or unsuccessful, once a decision has been made and no later than 8 October 2021.
