A one-day photo exhibition showcasing the deep connection local farmers have with their livestock and how they protect and enhance farm animal welfare.

Join us for our one-day public photo exhibition, generously funded by the Elizabeth Creak Centre for Effective Innovation in Agriculture.

The photo exhibition, by Jonny Barratt of Swivel Photography, tells the story of the deep connection local farmers have with their livestock and how they protect and enhance farm animal welfare.

The exhibition will also feature:

  • keynote speakers in the fields of animal and livestock farming, discussing advances in science and practice: 

    - Positive welfare in the dairy and poultry sector with Dr Katharina Watson, Senior Lecturer in Animal Science at the Royal Agricultural University

    - Farmer wellbeing and animal welfare with Dr Laura Palczynski, Postdoctoral Research Associate at Harper Adams University

    - Virtual fencing and welfare implications with Iris McCormick, Lecturer in Sustainable Agriculture at the Royal Agricultural University

    - Environmental sustainability and animal welfare - challenging the trade-off narrative with Dr Mukhtar Muhammad, Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Royal Agricultural University

  • farmers forum where you will have the opportunity to hear from local farmers and ask them questions.

Refreshments will be available to purchase on the day, including regenerative smash burgers from the Cotswold Cattle Company from midday. Cotswold Cattle Company will also be offering a half price discount on its burgers to current students. The drinks reception is included in your free of charge ticket.
