Insight to Agriculture (Farming for Non-Farmers) (Online) - 29 September - 2 October 2026

Our Insight to Agriculture (Farming for Non-Farmers) course, part of our range of continuing professional development (CPD) courses, is aimed at business professionals working with individuals and businesses in agriculture and the wider land-based sector but with little or no previous background experience or knowledge of it.

As part of this four-day course, which will take place online between 9.00 am - 1.00 pm each day, gain a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the complexities and nuances of the agricultural and land-based sectors, enabling you to more effectively perform your professional roles.

This course is led by Tom Overbury, Visiting Lecturer in the School of Agriculture. Since 1983 he has lectured at the RAU, including as a Principal Lecturer. He has previously managed the University’s mixed farms and when not lecturing, runs his own 150-hectare beef and arable farm.

This is a paid CPD course, with a 20% discount available to all RAU students and Farm491 members.

On completion, you will receive a CPD Certificate of Completion endorsed by the RAU.
