Dr Tosin Lagoke

Biography 

Dr Tosin Lagoke is the business cluster lead and programme lead for BSc (Hons) Agricultural Business Management, BSc (Hons) Agri-Food Business Management, BSc (Hons) Business Management and BSc (Hons) Business Management (Top-Up). He is an alumnus of Oxford Brookes University, where he obtained a PhD in Business and Management. He has Bachelors and Master degrees in Agricultural Economics and a second Masters degree in International Business from Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University. He specialises in Stakeholder theory and Social Network Analysis and has deployed the knowledge in his teaching and research. His research interests are Stakeholder Management, Local Content Development, Energy Policy and HEI Management. Tosin has supervised several students (undergraduate, postgraduate and research), focusing on these areas of research and leads both undergraduate and postgraduate modules in strategy and Business Management.

Tosin obtained a PhD studentship award from Oxford Brookes University and he is a beneficiary of other grant awards. His academic career spans over 10 years and he has published in leading international journals and peer reviewed for high-ranking international journals.  He is a consultant to two organisations, who collaborate with stakeholders such as IOCs, International organisations and governments, to undertake energy and sustainable development projects across developing countries.

Aside his academic career, he serves as a foundation governor of an outstanding (Ofsted rating) primary school in his local area. In addition, Tosin chairs the board of a charity who are committed to reaching out to people by providing words of encouragement and meeting their material needs.
