External Relations
External Relations works to represent the RAU as a world-class, and specialist, land-based institution to an external audience, including prospective students and their influencers, schools and colleges, RAU/RAC alumni, the media, and the general public.
The team works to maximise UK and international student recruitment in line with the University’s growth plans through activities such as student recruitment events and fairs, digital advertising, relationship building with schools, colleges and other external partners, communications with prospective students, and raising our profile via the media, as well as using tools such as our website, social media, and publications. In addition, our widening participation activities work to increase the recruitment of students from under-represented backgrounds in line with our Access and Participation Plan.
Through the Development & Alumni Office, we also support the RAU’s strategic aims through fundraising and in-kind support. We provide the first point of contact for alumni and supporters, maintaining and growing a thriving network, and aim to increase alumni engagement and support including sourcing placements and mentors for students.
