Biography

Jenny joined the RAU as a Lecturer in Business in 2023 following the completion of the RAU’s Graduate Diploma in Agriculture. Formerly a management accountant, she came to the RAU for industry knowledge to support farming clients.  However, she had the opportunity to teach this knowledge forward combined with her professional experience and, after a year as a visiting lecturer, is now a full member of the academic team.

Her current role is to support students through the processes involved in making business plans through the setting of clear aims and objectives.  She enjoys encouraging creative thinking for future environments and engages in discussions on what that looks like, how it can be developed, and what measures can be used to recognise success.  She also teaches modules on business finance and accounts in which students are encouraged to develop their understanding of useful business data as well as their own financial literacy.

Committed to continuous learning Jenny has completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice. She plans to develop research projects around communication and collaboration in education, along with engagement with the natural environment. She is interested in the connections between philosophy and practice of the ways of working with land and people, and how they combine as a whole ecological system.
