Dr Jonathan M Code

Biography

Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Land Management.

Programme Leader - Environment, Food and Society.

Programme Leader MSc Agroecology

Over the last few decades my work and research has focused on education for sustainability with particular attention to the interface between society and the environment, agriculture and ecology, and between 'ways of knowing' and 'ways of growing'.

My educational research (including a recently completed thesis for my EdD) has focused on integrative and trans-disciplinary approaches to education and the role that these can play in the contemporary educational landscape.

I have developed and deepened these interests over the last decade through teaching engagements in China, South Africa, North America and Scandinavia.
