Postgraduate open days and virtual events

This is the ideal time to study a postgraduate course at the RAU. The current global challenges of food security, climate change and Brexit provide unprecedented opportunities for the industry and those who work within it.

Our next series of virtual course introduction events are taking place in the Spring (2024), and dates will be published soon. These will focus on each postgraduate course; with a presentation giving a thorough overview of the course content, benefits and career prospects hosted by the programme manager. This is followed by a live Q&A, giving you opportunity to ask any questions you have about the course, how to apply, or any aspects of university life.

In the meantime, if you have any course-specific questions you are very welcome to contact the programme manager (whose details can be found on our course pages) directly, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

If you’d like to arrange a visit to the RAU's Cirencester or Swindon campuses, please book contact us directly at opendays@rau.ac.uk where we will be happy to look to arrange a bespoke visit where possible.

What to expect at a campus tour?

Our tours are a great opportunity for you to visit us in the Cotswolds and explore our beautiful campus. They are suitable for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate prospective students.

You will be guided by a student ambassador or staff member and will explore the University campus grounds, as well as having the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Please note: this is not an open day, and is a much smaller scale event. The tour does not include viewing inside accommodation blocks or meeting academic staff.

Why RAU?

At the RAU, we are committed to creating a stimulating, innovative environment in which to pioneer new modes of thought and explanation which will directly impact on the sector. We pride ourselves on our links with industry and our courses are designed to meet the demands of the employment market for land-based expertise, both in the UK and worldwide.

Many former students have gone on to perform at the highest levels across a broad range of careers. There are numerous options to choose from; whether that be leading innovation and change in the land management, farming, agri-food or equine industries, informing future land-based policy or setting up businesses. The reach and influence of the RAU alumni network worldwide is extraordinary.

Set in the beautiful Cotswold countryside, our small size provides a real sense of community amongst students and staff, which supports, develops and encourages postgraduates from all backgrounds to achieve their ambitions.

If you’d like to arrange a visit to the RAU campus, please book your place on one of the dates above or contact us directly at opendays@rau.ac.uk where we will be happy to look to arrange a bespoke visit where possible.
