Once you have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer from the RAU as your first choice, you may apply for accommodation.

How to apply

We are really pleased that you wish to join us at the RAU this September 2026. Living on campus is a fantastic way to become part of the university community, and enjoy an independent living experience in the Cotswolds.

Accommodation application forms are currently being sent out to applicants who hold a firm offer with the RAU.

Please keep an eye on your inbox and spam folder, and complete your submission forms within 10 days of receipt.

Room offers and contracts

As application submissions are received and processed, the Accommodation Team will issue provisional room offers, accommodation contract and payment instructions during  August/September.  Once received, you will need to accept or decline your room offer within 10 days of receipt.

Please note that if you are a new overseas/international student, your accommodation fee should be paid in full prior to your arrival to the university.

If you choose to accept your university residence, the accommodation contract will be for a minimum of one full academic year (35 weeks).

If you fail to meet the necessary requirements, please inform accommodation@rau.ac.uk as soon as possible, and you will be released from your contract and your deposit will be refunded.

Short- term accommodation for Postgraduate students

We are pleased to be able to offer postgraduate students the option of short term stays on a ‘room only’ basis in our Main Building. These rooms are subject to availability so please contact shortstay@rau.ac.uk regarding any queries, in advance of your proposed dates.
