How to apply for on-campus accommodation

Once you have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer from the RAU as your first choice, you may apply for accommodation.

All applications will need to be made via the online Applicants portal and you will receive instruction on how to access this once you have been offered a place to study at the Royal Agricultural University.

Applications are dealt with on a first-come first-served basis so to ensure that you get the room of your choice you will need to apply as early as possible, after the Portal has opened. It is important that you read through the Terms and Conditions of your residence when applying as they form part of your legally binding agreement.

All applicants will need to apply for accommodation online via the online Applicants portal and international students will need to pay the accommodation fees in full before 1 September 2023.

If you are under 18 and wish to apply for accommodation on campus can you please contact accommodation@rau.ac.uk and we will send you an RAU Parental Declaration form.

You should receive your confirmation of accommodation by the end of August, which you will need to accept or decline within 14 days. Once you have confirmed your accommodation offer, we will contact you with further details such as hall of residence, how to pay, and the Terms and Conditions of Residency.

If you accept your university residence, the contract will be for a minimum of one full academic year.

Subject to availability, we are now also able to offer short term flexible contracts on a half-board basis. Please contact Accommodation to discuss by emailing accommodation@rau.ac.uk or call +44 1285 652531 ext 2359 regarding any queries.

We can also help you find accommodation in Cirencester and the surrounding area. For more information, please email us at accommodation@rau.ac.uk.
