Scholarships
We offer a number of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a range of subject areas. In addition to this, a number of external organisations grant awards which may be of interest to RAU applicants.

English language courses
Students wishing to pursue an English Language programme in the UK prior to commencing their academic programme at the Royal Agricultural University can do so with our partner INTO, based in London.

Undergraduate (Bachelor's degree)
Applicants with Baccalaureat will need to undertake an International Foundation Year to be considered for entry to undergraduate courses at the RAU.
Otherwise,
- Applicants with Cameroon GCE A-levels
Equivalencies
- BCC = BCC
- CCC = CCC
- CD = CD
- Applicants with French Baccalaureate see French requirements.
- Applicants with Brevet de Technicien Supérieur or Diplôme de Technicien / Ordinary Technical Diploma (Minimum overall grade 65% or B or GPA 3.0 with Assez bien) will be considered for entry to Bachelor degree programmes (according to subject).
- Applicants with Brevet de Technicien Supérieur or Diplôme de Technicien / Ordinary Technical Diploma (Minimum overall grade 60% or B- or GPA 2.7 with Assez bien) will be considered for entry to Foundation degree programmes (according to subject).
Applicants with A-levels, International Baccalaureate, USA and other international qualifications will also be considered, see relevant RAU course pages.
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications
- IELTS Academic band score 6.0 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the IELTS test.The test must have been taken within two years of the start date of the course
*Applicants for Foundation degree courses must provide a Secure English Language Test (i.e. IELTS SELT). Please see more information on SELT providers.
Graduate Diploma/Graduate Certificate
UK Bachelor degree 2:1 or higher in a different discipline to that of the Diploma/Certificate applied for.
OR
A 4-year Licence, Bachelor degree or Diplôme d'Etudes Superieures de Commerce (DESC) or Diplôme d'Ingénieur or a Maîtrise / Master sans thèse.
Degree equivalencies:
- 2:1 = 14/20 – Bien – GPA 3.3
- 2:2 = 12/20 – Assez Bien – GPA 2.5
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications
- IELTS Academic band score 6.0 overall or above with no less than 6.0 in each component. The test must have been taken within two years of the start date of the course.
Postgraduate Taught (MSc and MBA)
UK Bachelor Honours degree 2:2 or higher
OR
4-year Licence, Bachelor degree or Diplôme d'Etudes Superieures de Commerce (DESC) or Diplôme d'Ingénieur or a Maîtrise / Master sans thès.
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications
- IELTS Academic band score 6.5 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the IELTS test. The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course.
Postgraduate Research
For entry to the MSc by Research applicants are expected to hold a UK Bachelor (Hons) degree - Upper Second class equivalent in a relevant subject area or a 4-year Licence, Bachelor degree or Diplôme d'Etudes Superieures de Commerce (DESC) or Diplôme d'Ingénieur or a Maîtrise / Master sans thèse.
For entry to the PhD programme we would require applicants to hold a UK Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area or Diplôme d'Études Approfondies / Master avec thèse or Diplôme d'Études Supérieures Spécialisées or Diplôme d'Études Professionnelles Approfondies.
IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications
- IELTS band score of minimum 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in Writing and no less than 5.5 in any other component. The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course.
