My RAU experience

I chose to study at the RAU because I wanted to make great friends, build contacts, and learn more about the bloodstock industry.

One of the things I most enjoyed about studying at the RAU was my work placement at Tweenhills Stud which gave me huge experience and industry contacts.  It was great to put all of my recent learnings into action whilst I was there. The RAU allows a lot of time for you to work in the industry alongside your studies. Another real highlight of the course was the trip to Ireland, which was brilliant!

What I gained from the RAU

I’m now a bloodstock agent for my own organisation, Ed Bailey Bloodstock. The business modules I studied as part of the course really helped me when it came to running my own business, alongside learning horse anatomy. Making contacts in the industry through my studies, and having the opportunity to work for other people to further my knowledge, was invaluable.

To any prospective student thinking about studying this course at the RAU, I would say go for it! Try and use the time wisely to work within the industry during holidays or non-lecture days.
