Oliver Pritchard

Why did you choose to study this course at the RAU?

I have a new interest ‘Gap year’ in Agriculture and I wanted to explore the subject area and study it. I really enjoyed it and had such a blast of a time doing this course.

What is the best part about this course for you?

How diverse and supportive the course is, especially with Dyslexia, one-to-ones and field visits.

In the classroom you learn information ‘academically’, but the RAU also offers many great placement options. Over the holidays – Christmas, Easter and Summer – you can do placements and learn information ‘practically’.

I came into this university without any information and now I can leave this university with real knowledge about the Agricultural industry.

What are you enjoying the most about studying at the RAU?

I really enjoyed learning about how Agriculture has improved over the years, what it is doing now and the possibilities in the future.

Loved how in 3rd year you can chose modules that you have an interest in and can focus on those topic areas.

What would you say to a prospective student thinking about choosing your course at the RAU?

Come to the RAU, you will not regret it – they are so supportive and are a great help if you are still struggling on what course you want to do. The University has access to loads of useful information that they are happy to share with you to help you decide which course is best for you.

They helped me choose this course and it definitely supported my needs – I love this course!

In the classroom you learn information 'academically' then over the holidays you learn information 'practically' because the RAU holds a great database of placement options.
