Scholarships

The Royal Agricultural University offers a number of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a range of subject areas. In addition to this, a number of external organisations grant awards which may be of interest to RAU applicants.

International Foundation Year

We run an International Foundation Year programme in partnership with our partner, INTO London World Education Centre based in London.

Undergraduate degrees (Bachelors)

  • Successful completion of Standard XII with a minimum of:
    • 60% ( for ICSE/CBSE/ISC/West Bengal Boards)
    • 70% (for all other boards)

OR

  • Completion of a recognised foundation course

AND

  • IELTS band score 6.0 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the 'academic' IELTS test. (The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course)
  • Academic transfers to RAU into Years 2 and 3 are possible

GDA

  • IELTS band score 6.0 overall and no less than 6.0 in each of the components of the ‘academic’ IELTS test. (The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course)

Foundation degree

  • Successful completion of Standard XII with a minimum of:
    • 50%( for ICSE/CBSE/ISC/West Bengal Boards)
    • 60% ( for other Boards)

OR 

  • Completion of a recognised foundation course

AND

  • UKVI IELTS band score 6.0 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the 'academic' IELTS test. (The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course)

Postgraduate taught degrees

  • Successful completion of a bachelor honours degree:
    • Prestigious Indian Universities-Institutes of National Importance: Minimum 58% or 2.2/4.0 or 4.0/7.0 or 5.8/10.0
    • Tier 1 - State or Central Universities: Minimum 60% or 2.4/4..0 or 4.0/7.0 or 6.0/10.0
    • Tier 2 – Private or Deemed Universities: Minimum 65% or 2.6/4.0 or 4.55/7.0 or 6.5/10.0
  • IELTS band score 6.5 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the 'academic' IELTS test. (The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course)

Postgraduate research degrees

  • MSc by Research
    • Prestigious Indian Universities-Institutes of National Importance: Minimum 60% or 2.4/4.0 or 4.7/7.0 or 6.0/10.0
    • Tier 1 - State or Central Universities: Minimum 65% or 2.6/4.0 or 4.55/7.0 or 6.5/10.0
    • Tier 2 – Private or Deemed Universities: Minimum 70% or 2.8/4.0 or 4.9/7.0 or 7.0/10.0
  • PhD
    • UK Master’s degree or equivalent

AND

  • IELTS band score of minimum 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in Writing and no less than 5.5 in any other component. (The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course)

Undergraduate
