Hi, I'm James Watson, outreach officer here at the RAU, and what better place to start than out on our iconic driveway, 500 metres splitting the sports fields and leading you on to what is our famous clock tower. A place where you can take photos at your summer ball, at graduation. What better place to start? And when you're living here on our Cotswold campus, you've really got to take in the countryside, which we have surrounding you. This is what makes living at the RAU such a special place. Right, enough looking at our countryside. Let's go have a look at some of our accommodation on our way around. Here we are at Bled Lawn, the famous part of the RAU campus. What a place to be living. Next up, we have Coad Court. Quirky rooms, but nice and large. It's definitely something you should enjoy. West Lodge, our self-catered accommodation with underfloor heating. Surrounding us is not just one, two, but three Woodland Lodges as well. Lovely big rooms, mixture of self-catered, half-board if you want them, and something which is certainly a rarity for students, getting your own student car park. I'd be very jealous of you if I was back at uni right now. Every student needs to clear their head, release some steam, take their mind off work, and where better than the gym.

So that brings us on to the RAU Grass Quad, a place to relax, chill out, and on the other side to us, we have Cedar Lodge. This is where all of our academics are based. You knock on the door, open it up, and they're here to speak to you.

So here we are in Emrys Jones. This is the place as a student where the majority of your seminars will take place around us as well. We also have student support and we also have our careers and employability team upstairs.

In the atrium, utilize the opportunity to grab some food, some hot and cold drinks, whatever you like. It's all here for you.

So, welcome to the library. Whether you're a fan of reading or not, this is certainly going to be a place you'll be spending a lot of time. Alongside the library and where all the books are, you also have our quiet spaces where you'll be able to do your studying in peace.

One of the best features here at the RAU is our recently built £5.8million labs. There's so much for you to use and take advantage of.

Kick back and relax in the student lounge. This alcohol-free zone is an area for students to use. Whether it be wanting to play games, study in peace and quiet, or just lounge around. From the student lounge, we can quickly make our way around to the porters' lodge. This is one of the most important spaces for you as a student where you can find first aid support. Whether you need your deliveries coming to somewhere or need some support from security, you can come meet them here. So to the right we have the student union office and our multi-faith room. And in front of me we have Tithe Barn Bar. Absolutely iconic. One of the most impressive social spaces for you to have as a student. This is where a load of your memories will be made. Tithe Barn Bar. You've seen the grass quad, welcome to the stone quad. The part of the RAU building that really gives it that Hogwarts feel.

Now, here's something unexpected. The chapel. In here, you can take part in services all year round. You could do Christmas carols, or you could speak to a member of our chaplaincy team if you require multi-faith support or just want a general chat.

Welcome to my favorite part of the RAU, the dining hall, where our award-winning catering team will be here to support you, providing you breakfast, lunch, dinners, with the majority of it all being locally produced. And as we go into our main dining hall area, you get a little glimpse of history and at the same time, you have certain quiet dining zones which you can go into as well.

Summertime is definitely the time to be living in the Cotswolds. Out here we have our Bathurst lawn where you can chill with your friends, take part in a game of croquet if you really fancy. All of it again accessible to you as a student.

The RAU isn't just a campus to live on, but it's also a campus to learn from. Whether you're wildlife student, conservation, environment, places like the arboretum is somewhere which you can use to utilize your learning. Sport is a really large part of your time at university and having the facilities there to help you with that is key. We have our netball courts, we have our padel ball courts all here for you to use.

We also have our cricket pitches, our lacrosse pitches, football pitches, rugby pitches, hockey pitches. All of that is available in sport at the RAU. And that brings us to the end of our campus tour. I'm sure you can agree with me that the RAU is a fantastic place to live and to study. Now, if you do want to come on a campus tour, please look on our website, go to the open days team either and sign up for a campus tour. I hope to see you soon.
