Eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.

Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop.

The Royal Agricultural University provides home and visited eduroam services. The service is available via the wireless SSID eduroam, in and around all our buidings at our Stroud Road Campus in Cirencester.

Information for Royal Agricultural University Students and Staff

Microsoft, Apple and Linux

To make use of the eduroam service on Microsoft, Apple and Linux devices there is a configuration tool which does the eduroam confiuration for you. To make use of this tool

1) Go to http://cat.eduroam.org click on "eduroam user: download your eduroam installer"

2) Select Royal Agricultural University.

3) Choose the option that matches your device.

4) Follow the on screen prompts to install the configuration (this will vary from device to device) Your username for eduroam is your normal university username followed by @rau.ac.uk e.g. if your college username is 12345678 your eduroam username is 12345678@rau.ac.uk Please note this is not the same as your email address. Your password for eduroam is your normal University Password. 

5) Once installed you can connect to an eduroam service and gain internet access

On Android Devices

To use eduroam on an android device, connect to the eduroam service and enter you account details. If you are propted to trust a certificate choose yes Your username for eduroam is your normal university username followed by @rau.ac.uk e.g. if your college username is 12345678 your eduroam username is 12345678@rau.ac.uk Please note this is not the same as your email address. Your password for eduroam is your normal University Password.
