This page contains information to help ensure your graduation day run smoothly.
Schedule of the day
Make sure you have a look at the programme before the graduation day. That way you can make plans and ensure your day runs smoothly.
When you get here
Information on how to reach the campus can be found here.
There will be free parking available on the RAU campus. At the time of booking your Ceremony tickets, you will be asked about the vehicles you will be bringing to the event. Please print out and bring with you the relevant parking pass for your ceremony:
- Parking pass A - Ceremony 1 (Business and Entrepreneurship, Equine Management and Science)
- Parking pass B - Ceremony 2 (Agriculture, Food and the Environment, Capel Manor College)
- Parking pass C - Ceremony 3 (Real Estate & Rural Land Management, Plumpton College)
Admission to the Ceremony for all guests is by ticket only. Guests include children. Every student is eligible for two tickets for guests. The graduating student does not need a ticket, however they must ensure they have booked. Bring your confirmation email with you to the registration desk on campus on the day of your Ceremony to collect your tickets.
If you're hiring your gown from Ede & Ravenscroft, you can collect your gown from the Frank Garner Block and have your photographs taken (if pre-booked).
Please note, students will not be permitted entry to the Graduation Ceremony without a gown.
Arrival at your ceremony
As soon as you've collected your tickets and gown, go directly to the Porters Lodge where transport will leave to take you to the Church. You will need to arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony starts. A timetable for the day can be found here.
To avoid obstructing the view of other guests or causing a distraction, we ask your guests to take photographs from their seats.
Please avoid flash photography.
After the Ceremony
Return of hired hoods and gowns
Before you leave, please return your academic dress to the Frank Garner Block on the day of your ceremony.
