Appointed as an Independent Governor in July 2025.
Alex is an award-winning digital and transformation executive leader with a proven track record of navigating complexity and delivering meaningful, human-centred change. Alex combines rare qualities of commercial acumen, creative insight, and a public service ethos.
Recognised in the top 20 CIO100 and for her work on Responsible AI, she is one of the original architects of the public sector digital and data profession and has led significant service transformation programmes across diverse fields such as social care, education, and the UK Government. She is known for mobilising people around complex challenges to produce tangible, lasting impact.
She serves as an independent assessor for InnovateUK, evaluating bids for public sector grant funding of technology projects. In a Non-Executive role, she has been Vice Chair of SafeLives, a leading charity in the domestic abuse sector since 2018.
Alex sits on the Audit and Risk Committee.
