Biography
Appointed as an Independent Governor in July 2025.
Rob is an education leader and CEO with over 20 years’ experience in the UK and internationally, including senior roles at City & Guilds, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and the Federation of Awarding Bodies. He brings extensive board-level expertise in governance, regulation, organisational growth, crisis leadership, and mergers and acquisitions.
His recent work has focused on strengthening education systems and expanding access to higher education across the Global South, where agriculture, innovation, and entrepreneurship are key to building resilient and sustainable communities.
Rob currently leads an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and serves on several education and skills advisory groups. He is committed to supporting the Royal Agricultural University’s mission to shape the future of sustainable land-based industries through innovation and global engagement.
Rob sits on the Finance and Estates Committee and the Nominations Committee.
