Sarah Lower
Biography
Sarah joined the RAU in 2018 and has a passion for people management. As Director of Human Resources, she is responsible for delivering all aspects of Human Resources including organisational development, equality, diversity and inclusion and health and wellbeing support. She has a record of supporting and implementing people strategies and developing systems, working to enhance performance and efficiency.
With a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, she first studied Business Studies at University in Sheffield. Sarah’s first graduate role was as an Employment Officer for Mencap, finding work opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. Since then she spent a number of years in the NHS as an HR Business Partner and Manager, before moving into human resource management in Further Education and then Higher Education. Robustly leading and developing teams to achieve continuous improvements and meet objectives, Sarah seeks to support success by driving excellence, compliance and the effective management of the organisation’s people.
Sarah is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and is an Acas trained workplace mediator.
