Case study

The Laboratory team was most recently involved in a trial on Enteroccocus cecorum, providing support for RAU academic Dr Katharina Watson.

Read more about the trial on the National Library of Medicine website.

The Laboratory Team supported independent research carried out by the RAU and the UK AgriTech Centre.

Professor Nicola Cannon, Professor of Agriculture at the RAU oversaw trials on bio-fertiliser made from human urine.

It was found that bio-fertiliser made from human urine helps crops grow just as well as widely used synthetic alternatives. Read more here.
