Basic Tree Survey and Inspection (Lantra)

Our Basic Tree Survey and Inspection course, accredited by Lantra, is aimed at those keen to learn how to identify hazardous trees, determine the level of risk and then decide an appropriate course of action.

What you’ll achieve at the end of the course

Delegates will learn how to:

  • State the legal and safety implications of hazardous trees
  • Maintain their own health and safety while carrying out a basic tree survey and inspection
  • Recognise hazardous trees and decide on the best course of action

You will receive a Certificate of Attendance from Lantra on successful completion of the course. Lantra is one of the leading awarding bodies for land-based industries in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

How is the course delivered?

We offer the course face-to-face on our RAU campus at Cirencester over one day.

The course is practical focused, incorporating practical exercises with discussion of case studies and local tree surveys.

About the Course Leader

The course is delivered by Paul McBride, independent trainer and assessor and arborist at Gloucestershire-based tree service providers Tree Maintenance Ltd.
