I am Dr Atenchong, I am the programme manager for the MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security programme. What we try to achieve with our course is to understand and interrogate the current overlapping emergencies that the world is facing. We allow students to think through these problems including climate change, geopolitical crises. Ultimately, we instill in the students practical and theoretical competencies that allow them to get into the professional world. Our students end up working with international organisations such as CABI, the Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International, the UN, etc. Some have also gone on to compete their PhDs at other institutions, while others have worked at the local government or business level.
