I chose to study Real Estate at the RAU because I have always had a passion for property and development. I wanted to gain a qualification that led me directly into a profession, knowing that there would be a career there for me after I had graduated. I wanted to experience student life in a rural setting as well as gaining a highly regarded qualification, the RAU allowed me to have both of these. The University has a prestigious reputation within the industry and also provides connections worldwide which really appealed to me.

Cirencester is a fantastic place to both live and study. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the RAU from attending lectures and site visits not only locally but worldwide too. The support from the lecturers could not have been better, from day one each student is given a personal tutor, all of whom are always happy to help you no matter what the problem is. Students are provided with the most current and up to date information direct from the real estate professionals of today, with most staff currently practicing within the industry.

Throughout my time at the RAU I have combined my love for travel and property; visiting the UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, and China, expanding my knowledge of the worldwide real estate market.

The modules I studied at the RAU gave me a wide breadth of knowledge, allowing for a range of opportunities.

The modules I studied at the RAU gave me a wide breadth of knowledge, allowing for a range of opportunities. The coursework deals with real life case studies, allowing students to experience first-hand projects and problems within the industry. This has made the transition into graduate work much easier as we were familiar with the work expected from us.

I have successfully gained a position in Leeds on the Savills Graduate Scheme, working in Valuation within Residential Development. I plan to complete my Assessed Professional Competence (APC) within two years, to then become a qualified Chartered Surveyor with the hope to progress within the company. In the future, I would like to take my work overseas and the RAU has allowed me to make connections worldwide to make this possible.

I am very grateful to all the staff at the RAU for providing me with various opportunities and support which has allowed me to be where I am today.
