Tuition fees

Scholarships

The Royal Agricultural University offers a number of scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a range of subject areas. In addition to this, a number of external organisations grant awards which may be of interest to RAU applicants.

International Foundation Year

We run an International Foundation Year programme in partnership with our partner, INTO London World education Centre based in London

Students wishing to pursue an English Language programme in the UK prior to commencing their academic programme at the Royal Agricultural University can do so with our partner INTO, based in London.

Undergraduate (Bachelor's degree)

Min. overall grade 12 or Mention assez bien in

  • Diplôme du Baccalauréat Général
  • Diplôme du Baccalauréat Professionnel
  • Diplôme du Baccalauréat Technologique
  • Option Internationale du Baccalauréat

Or

  • Brevet de Technicien
  • Brevet Professionnel

In relevant subject areas ( e.g. Agriculture, Equine, Environment etc)

Or

  • Diplôme d'Accès Aux Études Universitaires (DAEU) (Only for mature applicants over 21 years of age)

Preferably: Option B for Science based degrees (or where a science subject is required/suggested)  and Option A for other degrees

Alternatively, applicants with IB, EB, UK or US qualifications:

International Baccalaureate min. 26 points, A-levels or USA or other international equiv. qualifications for bachelor degree programmes see relevant RAU web pages.

Foundation degree programmes

GDA/GCA : 

Bachelor degree or

  • Licence Professionnelle / Grade de Licence Professionnelle (after 2008)
  • Licence / Grade de Licence (after 2008)
  • Diplôme d'Ingénieur

In a different discipline than Agriculture equivalent to an Upper Second Class Honours (13 overall min.).

Postgraduate Taught (MSc and MBA)

Typically we require a Bachelor’s Honours degree or

  • Licence Professionnelle / Grade de Licence Professionnelle (after 2008)
  • Licence / Grade de Licence (after 2008)
  • Diplôme d'Ingénieur

Min 12.00 overall = UK Lower Second Class Honours 2:2.

Min. 13 overall = UK Upper second Class Honours 2:1.

IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications

  • IELTS band score 6.5 overall or above with no less than 5.5 in each component of the ‘academic’ IELTS test
  • The test must have been taken within 2 years of the start of the course

Postgraduate Research

  • For entry to the MSc by Research applicants are expected to hold the equivalent of a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree (2:1). See Postgraduate Taught entry criteria above for equivalent French qualifications
  • For entry to the PhD programme we would require applicants to hold a Master’s degree or Diplôme d'Études Approfondies / Diplôme d'Études Supérieures Spécialisées / Diplôme de Master / Grade de Master

Mature candidates with significant relevant work experience and lower academic qualifications may also be considered for entry, following personal interview with the Director of Research.

IELTS and other accepted English language qualifications

  • IELTS (Academic) band score of min. 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in Writing and no less than 5.5 in any other component. The test must have been taken within two years of the start of the course
