Overview

A chainsaw maintenance and operation course for the operator with some or no experience who is required to operate chainsaws for cross cutting only. Content includes; routine maintenance, protective clothing, operation technique, cross cutting and manual stacking. The course includes assessment for the Lantra Chainsaw Certificate. NPTC certification can be arranged at an extra cost. (Unit 201 - 0039-20). If you do not have PPE and Chainsaw we can supply this as part of the course.

Please Note:

This is a Lantra Awards Integrated Test and Assessment (ITA) course and the assessment will take place within the duration of it. Students may also take the NPTC Assessments, which are held on a separate day from the training course and will incur an additional charge. It should be noted that your suitability for NPTC assessment is at the discretion of the instructor and it may be necessary for candidates to obtain additional training/experience. Other details:

  1. The first session of the course is workshop-based. Thereafter the course will be run in nearby woodland and you will be directed there from the workshops.
  2. We require a digital photograph (passport style on a plain background), this is purely for a Lantra Skills card. This will be requested in our booking email.
  3. Chainsaw & PPE is included in this course

Course Assessment Method

Lantra Awards Certification will be awarded on successful completion of assessment.
