From tree planting to house building, it is estimated that an area more than twice the size of Wales is needed to meet all the UK’s land use policy targets.

Yet there is no more land. If we want to meet these targets, we need to be innovative with how we use the land we have.

David Ridley

My RAU experience

I chose to study at the RAU because the Covid-19 pandemic led me to look for alternate career pathways. I initially intended to go to London and study economics, however the pandemic led me to realise that I valued a close knit community where support was at the heart of the organisation. This then tied in with the future career prospects in Real Estate and Land where human interaction is at the forefront.

Life is governed by strategy and at every point in time you need somebody who can help you to develop your strategy in your business, and I tell my students something - you are going to be paid for your brains, you're going to be paid for the decisions you take based on your understanding of strategy.

Emily Dinning

My RAU experience

I chose to study at the RAU as I loved the small campus and class sizes, and how much individual support you get from your lecturers. I had a deep interest in both the equine and agricultural sides of my course, so really liked that there was a combination of both. It was also very beneficial having the business aspect in the degree, as it made it very transferrable.
