Wild Campus scoops Environmental Project of the Year title at Chamber of Commerce awards

A project working to create improved wildlife habitats across the Cirencester education quarter has won the Environmental Project of the Year award at this year’s Cirencester Business and Community Awards.

Wild Campus, a partnership between the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) and Cirencester College, was established in 2020 with funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and has been working to connect wildlife populations, benefiting protected species and investing in the community, environment, wellbeing, and prosperity.

University’s wine scoops bronze at prestigious UK wine awards

A still white Ortega wine, produced by the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) from its six-acre vineyard near Cirencester, has scooped a Bronze award at this year’s prestigious WineGB Awards announced today.

This is the first time the RAU has produced a single variant and only around 1,000 bottles of the 2020 Cotswold Hills Ortega, which also won a bronze medal at last month’s Independent English Wine Awards (IEWA 22), have been produced.

RAU signs historic partnership agreement to establish new agricultural university in Uzbekistan

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has entered into a long-term partnership with the Uzbekistan Ministry of Agriculture to launch the International Agriculture University (IAU) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

After months of planning and discussions, RAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter McCaffery signed the official Partnership Agreement, formalising the relationship between the two institutions, today (16 June 2022) via video link during a meeting with Mr Jamshid Khodjaev, Uzbekistan's Minister of Agriculture.

Undergraduates applying to the RAU

Applications to study at the Royal Agricultural University must be made through the UCAS system. This applies to all full-time undergraduate courses and to all UK and overseas/international applicants.

All applications to study at the University are considered on academic grounds and candidates who may need additional support are encouraged to discuss their potential requirements with the University as early as possible in the admissions process to ensure these can be fully provided for.

Bledisloe Court

Bledisloe Court is divided into six houses on three levels. Some of these single on-campus rooms enjoy views across farmland towards the village of Coates. Each house has nine or ten standard, single bedrooms with a wash basin and shared toilet and shower facilities. There are 59 rooms in total. Bledisloe does not have a common room, however, students have access to the Student Lounge and Tithe Barn to socialise in.

An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent qualification is essential if your first language is not English.

Sports, clubs & societies

There's a broad range of clubs and societies you can join whilst at the RAU, from choir to board games to food and wine. The RAU Student Union always welcome new ideas for social activities, so if you can’t see something that takes your interest you can always start up your own club or society.
