Did you know that there is an award which supports prospective students with Welsh connections to study at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU)?

With £4,500 on offer to undergraduates, and £3,000 for postgraduates, the Sir Emrys Jones Memorial Trust Award is in memory of William Emrys Jones, the son of a Welsh hill famer, who was a leading figure in the rejuvenation of agricultural production after World War II, and probably had a greater influence on British farming than any other individual.

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is among the top 10 universities in the University of the Year and Job Prospects categories in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2020.

Now in their seventh year, the Whatuni Student Choice Awards are a celebration of the best universities and higher education institutions in the UK and are based directly on reviews of students themselves.

Whatuni gathered over 41,000 student reviews from 150 participating universities. It is the second year in a row that the RAU has been nominated in these two categories.

There is still time to apply to start one of a range of inspiring degree courses at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU).

This week saw the start of Clearing, which gives prospective undergraduate students an opportunity to explore their university options, and offers alternatives if their exam results are not what they expected. It is open to UK, EU and international students.

The RAU is offering spaces on all of its undergraduate courses, including business, environment, wildlife, equine, agriculture, real estate and rural land management.

STITA is the leading provider of farm tours in the UK and Europe, providing bespoke travel and logistics packages. Based in Cheltenham, they are a third-generation family business that has been operating for 70 years.

The RAU plans to open its campus fully to new and returning students in time for the start of the new academic year in September.

Teaching arrangements will comprise a blend of large group sessions and lectures delivered online, with small group seminars and practical sessions delivered face to face in suitably adapted spaces on campus.

Environment experts at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) have been part of the national Back from the Brink campaign to conserve some of the most threatened species of animal, plant and fungi.

Back from the Brink was developed by Natural England and Rethink Nature, and is one of the most ambitious conservation projects ever undertaken.
